The Story Behind Olive Branch
Growing up with a deep appreciation for fine craftsmanship, Joan built an 18-year career shaping retail strategies for brands like Starbucks, Eddie Bauer and The Bon. In 2010, she sought to replace the synthetic products in her and her husband’s daily routine with plant-based alternatives. When her search for luxurious, naturally derived options proved difficult, she began researching and testing her own formulas. An inspiring local feature in PCC Sound Consumer motivated Joan to merge her entrepreneurial passion with her retail expertise. This vision led to the creation of Olive Branch Natural Body Care—a line of finely formulated, hand-crafted products designed to provide effective and gentle, plant-based care.
In Closing – From the Founder
One morning while spending time in God’s Word, He showed me that He gives us '... oil to make (our) face shine…' (Psalm 104:15 NIV), essential oil beauty treatments for the skin (Esther 2:12 NIV) and olive oil to sustain us (2 Kings 4:2-7). So, I decided to take Him at His Word and I’ve truly enjoyed the journey ever since.
I have come to realize that God is the source of all that I am. I guess that makes sense since He created me. He is the true Owner of Olive Branch, and I, His manager. I am endlessly thankful for His love and especially for the gift of His Son Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit.
